Current enrollment: 464

Grade School Mascot: Mustangs

Central Grade School is home to 464 students in 3rd through 5th grades.  This year we have eight sections of third grade, seven sections of fourth grade, and eight sections of fifth grade.  We also have direct-instructional classes, resource classes, and Speech/Language Programs to meet students' individual learning needs.  Our Reading and Math interventionists use data driven approaches to supplement our comprehensive curriculum.  Our goal is to engage, educate, and empower students to reach their goals.

Our students are socially and emotionally supported with the use of our Everyday Speech Curriculum.  Our SEL team has many fun activities to support students daily.  Those students that display positive traits and characteristics are celebrated with building-wide activities.  Additionally, we added a sensory classroom that promotes students’ independence with self-regulation and coping skills.  Central School is excited for the opportunities and experiences offered on a daily basis.

Have you ever heard of our “Read-A-Thon”?  Central School is fortunate to have a very supportive PTO that sponsors our  “Read-A-Thon.”  This event has been very successful at raising funds and promoting reading.  Students ask family, friends, and community members to pledge money for reading on designated calendar dates.  Due to the success of our PTO we offer:   AR rewards, behavior rewards, Movies at RMC Cinemas, fully funded field trips, admission and field trips to the Arena Jump Park and much more.  Look for more information regarding our PTO “Read-A-Thon” to come out in January.

Overall, Central School looks forward to working and celebrating with your student(s).  We have a talented and collaborative staff that will ignite your students' passion for learning and growing.  We look forward to a great year at Central School!
